The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) is proud to be partnering with the Queen’s Green Canopy to bring the celebration of the Jubilee into schools across the country.
Through a special edition of the RFS Junior Forester Award, children will be able to plant and learn how to care for trees in their school grounds that will be a lasting reminder as well as providing shade, a home for wildlife and capturing carbon for many decades into the future.
The RFS has launched the special Jubilee edition of the Junior Forester Award which is available to schools nationwide. Access the materials here.
The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) is the largest and longest established education charity promoting the wise management of woods in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The mission of the RFS is to inspire passion and excellence in woodland management. This is achieved through education and knowledge-sharing, which have been at the heart of the RFS ethos since its foundation in 1882.
The Royal Forestry Society is proud to offer a range of awards to promote best practice forestry and woodland management. The awards recognise students, organisations and professionals for the work they do to improve British woodland and forests.
